We strongly believe that the best colour printing is underpinned by professional and well thought out page design. Our own design studio offers a cost-effective and eye catching service which is often a fraction of the total cost of the print job.

If you do submit your own DIY design files, then please ensure they comply with our quality print standards:-

PDF Acrobat files
Embed fonts
JPEG compression 'manual low'
Images set to 300dpi and CMYK
Images at the document edge must 'bleed' 3mm over and bleed activated when saving the PDF. Include crop marks.

Quark files
Collect for output including fonts. Spec as for PDF above. Version 7 or 8 only.

If you have any questions, please contact us BEFORE you embark on your page design.

We do not print from MS Publisher.

TEXT AND PHOTOS

We welcome the supply of text and images from customers which we can develop into professional page layouts.

Text should be in MS Word, ideally in a single document with headings to identify individual stories. Our Apple Macs cannot import text from MS Publisher.

Detailed specs for Word files can be found on our publishing site.

Digital camera photos should be taken with as little co mpression as possible. Identify which photos go with which stories.

Website images a few centimetres in dimension at 72dpi will not produce high quality print above the size of a postage stamp!

GIF files are not suitable for colour printing.
